This is the best tempura I have had. The food is very fresh. It was full. It is a small restaurant with 16 seats.

Very crowded, people lining up the door. Priced reasonably, excellent good. Sweet, rich tare sauce and a massive volume. However, greasy and cheap, in a good way. Not a classy tempura place, but something to post about!

My wife wanted to eat good tendon, and vloggers Simon and Martina recommended this place in Kichijoji. We went here in the mid-afternoon, so there were no lines. There are three choices available for the tendon — I got the one with shrimp and eel (¥1,380). Now, the bowl is deceptively big. My order had a piece of eel sitting on top of the rice. Leaning on the eel are two shrimp tempura. There is also an egg tempura and a squid cubes tempura in there. The taste is a balance of sweet and salty. Really good bowl, especially the eel! The rice absorbed the sauce drippings from the tempura on top, making for very tasty rice. I said the bowl was deceptively big. Yes, it’s delicious, but it’s a lot. It was a challenge for me to finish my bowl, plus I had to finish my kid’s bowl which still had half a serving! I finished the food, stood up, and did not want to eat anything over the next two hours. I was that stuffed. So if you plan to eat here, come hungry. Don’t snack on fried chicken on the way here. Trust me.

Rarely do I leave negative reviews, but the tempura was so oily that both a friend and I could not finish the food and felt sick soon afterward. The music was also quite annoying...

If you go lunch here, there are soon many people but when we went back around 5. Did not need to wait. The price is very good and you can choose tendon among three types.

Excellent tempura, where all of the components of the bowl were better than the other. There are only three choices and the congered eel was great. Despite there’s an ōmori option, the standard size is big enough. On a Sunday midday there were some people in line but the wait was less than 20 minutes.

Really enjoy the tendon here. In fact I think I was there when I first visit japan 15years ago. Definitely not a typical tendon. Everything is quite well balance. Good batter, tender rice and just enough sauce for not being too salty.
